Flyfishing and flow-rates on the Vaal River

The Vaal River is a top destination on any South African's flyfishing list. Since most fishing is done while wading in the river, it pays to check the current flow rates before leaving on a trip.

Generally a flow-rate of between 20-40 cumecs is considered safe - anything above this can become dangerous.
