Flyloops ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (used for authentication and account communications)
- Username (chosen by you or generated from your email)
Fishing Activity Data
When you use Flyloops to log your fishing sessions, we collect:
- Catch records (species, size, weight, fly patterns used)
- Session information (date, time, duration, weather conditions)
- Venue/location data (fishing spots you visit)
- Photos you choose to attach to your catches
- Notes and comments you add
Device & Usage Information
- Device type and operating system
- App usage patterns and preferences
- Approximate location (when you grant permission, used for venue detection and weather)
Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Google Play. We do not store your credit card details. We receive only transaction confirmations and subscription status from Google.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Flyloops service
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Store and display your fishing records and statistics
- Generate personalized insights and coaching tips
- Show crowd-sourced fishing data (anonymized catches at venues)
- Process subscription payments
- Send important service updates (e.g., password resets)
- Improve our app based on usage patterns
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share data in these limited circumstances:
- Anonymized venue data: Catch statistics at venues may be shown to other users in aggregate form (e.g., "15 catches this week at River X") without identifying you personally.
- Service providers: We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and app features. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure database storage with access controls

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights & Choices
Access & Export
Pro subscribers can export all their fishing data at any time through the app's export feature.
Data Correction
You can edit or delete individual catches and sessions within the app.
Location Permissions
You can deny or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. The app will still function but some features (venue detection, weather) may be limited.
Marketing
We do not send marketing emails. We only send essential service communications.
6. Account Deletion
To delete your Flyloops account and all associated data, please email craig@pixeljet.co with the subject line "Delete my Flyloops account" from your registered email address.
We will process your request within 30 days. Upon deletion:
- Your account and login credentials will be removed
- All your catch records, sessions, and photos will be permanently deleted
- Any active subscription will be cancelled (you may also cancel directly via Google Play)
7. Children's Privacy
Flyloops is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app or on our website. Your continued use of Flyloops after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
